About the author: Robyn Bavati is the award-winning author of Dancing in the Dark, Pirouette and A Weekend With Oscar. Dancing in the Dark was a CBCA Notable Book, a Sydney Taylor Honour Book, and was shortlisted in both the YABBA and KOALA awards . A Weekend With Oscar won the 2024-25 Victor Youth Book Prize in Belgium. Within These Walls, first published in 2016, was a CBCA Shortlisted Book and winner of the 2018 WAYRBA award. An experienced presenter and long-term member of Toastmasters International, Robyn enjoys public speaking. She lives in Melbourne and loves visiting schools to discuss her work.
