Author Submissions

If you want to be published by Hybrid Publishers:

Hybrid Publishers is willing to accept high-quality unsolicited manuscripts. Preferably, contact us by phone or email before sending a submission.

Hybrid Publishers publishes fiction and non-fiction, with a particular interest in legal publications and Jewish studies (see our online catalog for the range of our publications).

Please send manuscripts hard copy (rather than electronically or on disk unless arranged with the publisher), single-sided, and double-spaced.

Send copies, not the originals. Always keep the originals in a safe place. We cannot be responsible for loss of material.

All submissions should contain:

• Covering letter of no more than 1 or 2 pages, giving a brief account of the book's subject, why it was written, and details of the author's background and qualifications for writing it. (An author CV would be appreciated.)
• (For non-fiction): a detailed chapter outline; or (for fiction): a brief (one page or less) synopsis of the plot. (However, note that we publish very few books of fiction or poetry.)
• The author's view of the potential market/readership of the book and any ideas for publicity and marketing, or personal contacts to help promote the book.
• The first 3 chapters (preferably) or a few finished chapters.

All material must be typed, double spaced, on one side only of A4 paper.

Only manuscripts with a self-addressed envelope and sufficient postage will be returned.

We do not send out acknowledgment of receipt of manuscripts. We aim to respond to all submissions, although assessment may take up to three months. We are grateful for authors' patience during this process.
